    SELITSTYLE® skirtings

    To help you enjoy your flooring, SELIT is adding a new product type to its range with the SELITSTYLE® waterproof skirting. Developed in collaboration with the strategic partner NMC, the skirtings are made exclusively from 100 % polystyrene and with renewable energy. They are free from PVC, plasticisers and formaldehyde. In order to create an individual decorative style, the skirtings feature digital printing.

    First XPO underlay

    A milestone in product development is the first underlay made from extruded polyolefin (XPO). In addition to its enormous load-bearing capacity, the XPO underlay offers astonishing properties in terms of walking sound reduction and is also easy to install as a roll thanks to the flexible foam.

    TwinFoam™ technology

    With the TwinFoam™ technology, SELIT revolutionised the world of underlays. An underlay that combines the respective advantages of more flexible and rigid underlays had never been available before! The first product with TwinFoam™ technology was the SELITPRO® 2.2 mm AquaStop.

    SELITBLOC® vinyl click flooring underlay

    When the first vinyl click flooring appeared in DIY stores at the beginning of the new decade, we knew straight away that we needed the right underlay for that. No sooner said than done. In 2012, our application and development laboratory developed the SELITBLOC® vinyl click flooring underlay, which was launched on the market in the same year. SELITBLOC® has been specially adapted to the requirements of modern LVT floor coverings with high pressure stability and an innovative GripTec™ surface, which prevents the boards from slipping when horizontal forces are applied.

    Three times as easy

    In 2010, the SELITAC® 5 mm AquaStop combined 3 installation features in one product for the first time. The combination of the easy lay® endless folding panel technology with the printed easy cut® cutting grid and the easy click® click system, which was introduced for the first time, revolutionised the processing of our underlays. Since then: SELIT underlays have been “three times as easy to install!”

    SELITFLEX® as an endless folding panel

    The SELITFLEX® 3 mm marked the start of the production of the endless folding panel. The new format significantly simplified storage, transport and installation of the underlays. In addition, SELITFLEX® was also supplemented in the folding panel format by the AquaStop™ technology, which had already been used for rolled goods.

  • 1999

    SELITAC® as a roll

    In 1999, production of rolled goods started with SELITAC® PS. Its advantages in comparison with single panels quickly made it a big seller. The foam, which was then still white, was soon replaced by the characteristic mint green.

  • 1994

    SELITAC® underlays

    With the invention of the first SELITAC® underlay made from extruded polystyrene, SELIT took the rapid growth in the demand for laminate flooring into account. The single panel was the basis for the later success of the SELIT Group in the field of underlays. Today, SELITAC® foam still forms the basis for most premium products in the SELIT range thanks to its excellent material properties and it is even used for industrial applications.

    OPTITRON® interior insulation panel

    The OPTITRON® interior insulation panel made SELIT a leading supplier of interior insulation systems. Thanks to its simple installation and high level of efficiency, OPTITRON® achieved a high level of acceptance in the painting trade in a very short time.

  • 1980

    Radiator panel

    In times when “saving energy” and “green electricity tax” were things nobody even thought about, SELIT was already developing a solution for the energy-related retrofitting of living spaces. The radiator panel is still a simple and effective renovation solution for window recesses behind radiators nowadays.
