Memberships

SELIT has been active in industrial associations in the field of floor coverings in Europe for many years. We currently support the EPLF® (European Producers of Laminate Flooring), MMFA (Multilayer Modular Flooring Association) and vdp (Association of the German wood flooring Industry).

Within the scope of this support, SELIT representatives carry out research work in various working groups. This research work is incorporated into national and international standardisation. The results of the research include official documents, such as the technical data sheets for various floor coverings. Conversely, SELIT incorporates findings from research work into its own product development.

EPLF® (Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring): Founded in Bonn in 1994, the EPLF® is an international platform for laminate flooring manufacturers and their suppliers to share opinions and experiences. Currently, 18 laminate producers from 8 European countries, 30 suppliers and various renowned testing institutes are members of the association.

MMFA (Multilayer Modular Flooring Association): The MMFA was founded in Munich in 2012 and aims to represent the interests of leading European flooring manufacturers and their suppliers. The association’s work focuses on research, development and standards, among other things.

vdp (Association of the German wood flooring Industry): The vdp’s central objectives are to communicate the extraordinary value of wood flooring flooring and to continuously improve product quality. Among other things, the association plays a major role in the development of standards for wood flooring and other wooden flooring. Its members represent about 90% of wood flooring production in Germany.
